Pay fees: Accepts credit and debit cards; the Kahului DMV location also accepts cash.

Fees and Payment Information

While using the kiosks, be aware of the following fees:

City and County of Honolulu: $4 per vehicle renewal plus a 2.5% credit card fee.
Maui County: No additional fee per vehicle; a 2.3% credit card fee at DMV locations or 2.5% at non-DMV locations.

Ensure your vehicle has passed the required safety inspection and that your address is current before using the kiosk. If your registration has expired, you can still renew at the kiosk up to 10 months past the expiration date, subject to a $16 late fee.
