Duplicate Maine Driver’s License or ID

If your Maine driver’s license or state ID card has been lost, stolen, or damaged, you can request a duplicate online, by mail, or in person.

Fee:

  • $5.00 for a duplicate license or ID card.

Duplicate Learner’s Permit

Fee:

  • $5.00 per duplicate.

Duplicate Vehicle Registration

Maine residents who lose their vehicle registration certificate or stickers can apply for duplicates through local municipal offices or BMV branches.

Required Items:

  • Vehicle information (VIN, plate number).
  • Proof of ownership (title or insurance card).

Fees:

  • Duplicate registration certificate: $3.00
  • Replacement stickers: $0.25 each

Duplicate Title Certificate

If you need a new copy of your vehicle title:

Fee:

  • $33.00 for a duplicate title.

Application:
